SWING 2

Swing 2.2

2.2 · JSFX · Windows · macOS · Linux

A 16-pad drum sampler that runs inside REAPER as a single JSFX plugin. No wrappers, no external dependencies, no install headaches.

Load samples, shape them with per-pad FX, route them to 16 separate outputs, and mix everything from one window. Built-in sample browser, self-contained .swing kits, velocity layers, choke groups, and a full master chain with EQ, compression, delay, and reverb.

This is the drum workflow REAPER never had.

Sample Browser

Find sounds without leaving the plugin

Two-pane browser with folder navigation, waveform preview, and drag-to-pad loading. Light and dark themes. Favorites, recent folders, and batch import. No more alt-tabbing to your file manager.

16-Channel Mixer

Mix your kit right here

Volume, pan, delay send, reverb send — per pad. See all 16 channels at once. Master EQ with a visual frequency response. Everything stays inside Swing until you're ready to route out.

Sample Browser

Dark mode for late sessions

Same browser, night theme. Every panel in Swing respects your color preference. Light for daytime sessions, dark for 2am beats.

Self-Contained Kits

.swing format — samples inside the file

Every kit saves as a single .swing file with the audio embedded. No broken sample paths. No missing files. Build a kit, save it, hand it to someone else. It just works.

Per-Pad Controls

Shape every hit independently

Each pad has its own ADSR, high-pass, low-pass, 3-band EQ, bitcrusher, 5-mode drive, sample offset, delay send, and reverb send. Velocity layers up to 4 deep. Choke groups for open/closed hat behavior. Lock pads to protect them while you swap out other sounds.

Color Themes

6 built-in palettes + auto-color

Rainbow, Mono, Dark, Neon, Pastel, DrumType. Auto-color pads by drum type, output bus, or folder. Or pick a custom hue per pad. Your grid, your colors.

Pad View

MCP Mode — pads on top

The default layout. Your 16 pads up top, routing and controls below. Click a pad to select it, drag to swap positions, right-click for options. Designed for pad-first workflows — load, trigger, arrange.
